The Elementary Safety Team completed training on the Heimlich maneuver today. This training enhances their ability to help identify and respond during emergency situations involving choking.
We appreciate all the work our SROs do for our students and staff!
📅 School Calendar Reminder
GCT will be out of school tomorrow, February 13th. This is a scheduled day off on our school calendar.
We will be in session on Monday, February 16th for a snow day make-up.
To wrap up a unit on astronomy, Mrs. Maddie Long's 3rd graders represented the phases of the moon with cookies. Yummy!

Today, the Arkansas SkyDome Planetarium came and allowed our 3rd graders to have an up close look at our solar system, moon exploration and the stars, as they finish a unit on astronomy.🌟When you make purchases from our PTO fundraisers, you support experiences like this for our students.

Mrs. Blayre Adam's class got to visit Chateau on the Ridge this week. They were excited to show off their reading skills.
It's National School Counseling week and we are blessed with the best! We greatly appreciate our two school counselors and all they do for our students and staff.
GCTSD will run regular bus routes on Wednesday, February 4 and will only avoid areas that are not safe for travel. Use your best judgment if your child’s bus is unable to travel to your designated bus stop. If road conditions are hazardous and you do not feel safe traveling to school, please notify the school office and let them know you will be keeping your child at home. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
