This will be in effect for next school year in all school districts in Arkansas. The Greenbrier Companies are opening up paid intern positions for high school seniors 17 years and older. Students apply for the position, go through the interviewing and hiring process, and if selected, would be placed into an onsite weld school. After completion of weld school, interns could work up to 20 hours per week (school schedule allowing) at their Paragould facility and be paid as an entry level welder. These internships would last one semester. If you are interested, please sign up in the counselor's office. The reason some of you were contacted is because you have used them in the past and your information was in their system. Student leaders from FCA, FBLA, and Drug Free Teens attended the Greene County Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition’s Youth Leadership Summit today. They joined students from across the area to participate in various activities aimed at helping them learn strategies for promoting drug-free lifestyles, supporting mental health, and creating positive change in their schools and communities—locally and beyond.

Composite Photo FAQs 1. Do I have to have my Senior Photos taken by Prestige? A. No you don't. You can hire anyone to take your Senior Photos, but we need Prestige to take your photo for the Yearbook. 2. Can the photo taken by my photographer be the photo used for my Senior Yearbook Photo? No, The only photos used for the Yearbook are the photos take by Prestige. 3. What do I get with my $10 sitting fee? You will receive a composite photo of all the Seniors in the Class of 2026. The photo will appear in the school Yearbook 4. My son doesn't have a button down dress shirt, tie, or sports jacket, Do I need to buy one? No. Prestige will provide those items for your son. 5. What does my daughter need to wear? Girls need to wear a nice, modest blouse that covers their shoulders. 6. We will be out of town on the 3 dates listed. Are there other dates that portraits will be taken? Yes, We will have a few more dates, but not many. We will have one date during the school year as well. 7. Why does my address need to be correct in the schools computer system, HAC? We will pull your address from HAC and send it to Prestige. They will use your mailing address to send your child a postcard with an 8 digit code that you will use to enter their website to schedule your photos. 8. Will they take more photos other that the composite photo? Yes, If you want, you can bring several changes of clothes and they will take Senior photos in different poses, clothes, etc. for you. They also have caps and gowns that you can use for photos.

Class of 2026, We need to prepare you for the first step of your Senior year:  Getting your Senior Portrait made for the Yearbook and Senior Composite.  This picture will appear in the Yearbook, on the Senior Composite, on the marquee in front of the school just prior to graduation, and in the Graduation slideshow. STUDENT INFORMATION Last week at AYAA, the state art competition in Hot Springs Ally Hensen won 2- 1st places Shelby Algers won 2- 2nd places Maddy Puckett won a 2nd place Evalynne Lawson won a 3rd place & Valley Mitchem won a Honorable Mention Congratulations on their wins, they had a lot of tough competition. Juniors, due to the alternate bell schedule for today our off campus lunch times have changed. The first wave will go at 11:44 and the second wave will go at 12:25. You will go out back to where the shuttle buses are parked to get on a bus to take you to your off campus lunch. Juniors and Sophomores- all library books are due by May 5th Juniors who took the ACT test can come by the counselor's office between classes or at lunch to pick up a copy of their scores. Friday JROTC Blood Drive in the Practice Gym all day. Friday Fine Arts Signings in the Auditorium at 1:32 p.m. Any Student interested in being a Candy Striper at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center this summer, applications are now available in the Counselor’s office. All applications must be turned in by May 1st. Reminder: Students please come to the office to sign in when you are late and sign out when you get checked out. SENIOR INFORMATION Today's Senior Class Meeting in the Auditorium at 8:40 a.m. Seniors: If you have a group prom picture you would like added to the senior slideshow, please submit the group picture by Friday April 25th to seniorslideshow@gctschools.net See Mrs Finley if you have any questions. The senior class officers will be hosting a senior game night April 24th. Senior Honors Day will now be Wednesday May 14th from 8:30 -11:00. PLease inform your parents. Seniors, your last day will be May 2nd. If you have qualified for the end of semester exemptions, your last day will be April 29th. SPORTS Students: If you have an athletic pass you must have it in hand when coming to a ball game. On big game nights there will not be an admin available to testify if you are a student. Cash is not accepted at door entry but debit, credit, cash app card, google and apple pay are accepted. If they are not charged, you need to charge them. If you don't have a charger, borrow one from someone who has a charger. We will have a reward for all students who give effort on all 4 tests. To earn a reward, you just have to try. Your teachers will be taking note each day who gives good effort and who doesn't. Those who give effort, will be rewarded. Next year, those who score in all three subject areas will be rewarded with early lunch, multiple off campus lunches, a fun teachers Vs students game, and a field day. How do you score on all three subject areas you ask: You can exceed your projected growth in all three subjects (ELA, Geometry, and Biology), you can exceed growth in one subject area and score a 3 or a 4 in the other two subject areas, you can exceed growth in two subject areas and score a 3 or 4 in the third area. Those who score in two of the three subject areas will receive early lunch release and an off campus lunch. Juniors, If you have not picked up your off campus lunch permission form, we will pass them out at lunch today. Students, if your 4th period teacher normally has 5th lunch, you will go to eat lunch during the 4a lunch period. When your lunch is over, you will go to your 4th period class. Students, if your teacher normally has 5th period class, you will go to 4a Class and then go to lunch after class.
