STUDENT INFORMATION Act 122 of 2025 passed by the Arkansas legislature and signed by Governor Sanders prohibits the use of personal electronic devices by students during the school day (from the time that students are required to be at school until the time students are dismissed from school). This will be in effect for next school year in all school districts in Arkansas. The Greenbrier Companies are opening up paid intern positions for high school seniors 17 years and older. Students apply for the position, go through the interviewing and hiring process, and if selected, would be placed into an onsite weld school. After completion of weld school, interns could work up to 20 hours per week (school schedule allowing) at their Paragould facility and be paid as an entry level welder. These internships would last one semester. If you are interested, please sign up in the counselor's office. The reason some of you were contacted is because you have used them in the past and your information was in their system. Composite Photo FAQs 1. Do I have to have my Senior Photos taken by Prestige? A. No you don't. You can hire anyone to take your Senior Photos, but we need Prestige to take your photo for the Yearbook. 2. Can the photo taken by my photographer be the photo used for my Senior Yearbook Photo? No, The only photos used for the Yearbook are the photos take by Prestige. 3. What do I get with my $10 sitting fee? You will receive a composite photo of all the Seniors in the Class of 2026. The photo will appear in the school Yearbook 4. My son doesn't have a button down dress shirt, tie, or sports jacket, Do I need to buy one? No. Prestige will provide those items for your son. 5. What does my daughter need to wear? Girls need to wear a nice, modest blouse that covers their shoulders. 6. We will be out of town on the 3 dates listed. Are there other dates that portraits will be taken? Yes, We will have a few more dates, but not many. We will have one date during the school year as well. 7. Why does my address need to be correct in the schools computer system, HAC? We will pull your address from HAC and send it to Prestige. They will use your mailing address to send your child a postcard with an 8 digit code that you will use to enter their website to schedule your photos. 8. Will they take more photos other that the composite photo? Yes, If you want, you can bring several changes of clothes and they will take Senior photos in different poses, clothes, etc. for you. They also have caps and gowns that you can use for photos.

Class of 2026, We need to prepare you for the first step of your Senior year:  Getting your Senior Portrait made for the Yearbook and Senior Composite.  This picture will appear in the Yearbook, on the Senior Composite, on the marquee in front of the school just prior to graduation, and in the Graduation slideshow. Steps to schedule my Senior Portraits. 1. Check HAC to make sure your address is correct. a. If your address is incorrect ****Please come to the office and let Mrs. Christy or Mrs. Devon know your correct address.  You can also go to the Counselor's Office and let Mrs. Pam know your correct address. 2. You will be mailed a postcard with an 8 digit code on it. a. We will use the address that is listed in HAC.  If your address is not listed in HAC correctly, you will not receive the postcard with your 8 digit code. b. If they are not charged, you need to charge them. If you don't have a charger, borrow one from someone who has a charger. We will have a reward for all students who give effort on all 4 tests. To earn a reward, you just have to try. Your teachers will be taking note each day who gives good effort and who doesn't. Those who give effort, will be rewarded. Next year, those who score in all three subject areas will be rewarded with early lunch, multiple off campus lunches, a fun teachers Vs students game, and a field day. How do you score on all three subject areas you ask: You can exceed your projected growth in all three subjects (ELA, Geometry, and Biology), you can exceed growth in one subject area and score a 3 or a 4 in the other two subject areas, you can exceed growth in two subject areas and score a 3 or 4 in the third area. Those who score in two of the three subject areas will receive early lunch release and an off campus lunch. Juniors, If you have not picked up your off campus lunch permission form, we will pass them out at lunch today.
