It was a big week at GCT as we gear up for the return of our teachers! We celebrated our summer workers with a cookout to thank them for their hard work all summer. Huge thanks to Chartwells for donating the fish and all the fixings! We also welcomed our newest Eagles at New Teacher Orientation—excited to see them shine in green and gold!

Arkansas schools now serve free breakfast to every student—every day!
New Arkansas “Bell to Bell, No Cell” law bans personal electronics during the entire school day statewide — beginning with 2025–2026 school year.
GCT has applied the law to create our personal electronic device policy.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday August 2, 2025, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday August 3, 2025, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain Electronic Devices, School Supplies, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and Clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.

For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, Arkansas has authorized Universal Free Breakfast, giving all students at Greene County Tech the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at no cost throughout the academic year. Universal free breakfast makes it easier for students and families to confidently check a healthy breakfast off their list.
School breakfast is tasty and packed with essential nutrients! 🍎🥣 Students who eat school breakfast are more likely to consume enough calcium, fiber, and potassium than those who don’t.
