Next week is our last week of school. I wanted to go over a couple of things just so there are no surprises for you or me.
Monday
9:00 9th Grade Awards in Multi
10:30 8th Grade Awards in Multi
* free checkout after awards ceremony for all students as long as behavior is appropriate.
12:00 combined lunch for all students on campus
12:45 All students to Reynolds - games setup for our fun day. There will also be water bottles available for students at no charge. We will simply have fun all afternoon in the gym for students on campus.
Tuesday
Reward Notes will go home during 2nd period for students that qualify
Tuesday & Wednesday
Regular school days - We will have assignments each day that count toward your 9 weeks grade. If you miss, you will get zeros and it will hurt your grade.
Thursday
Reward Day - If you are not exempt there will still be required work to complete that will affect your grade. This will also be a time to work with your teachers to help improve your grades by making up available missing assignments.
Friday
Reward Day - Again, work on your work. Get your grades up and use your time wisely.

Students left on campus will go to Reynolds for the remainder of the day and sit in bleachers.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Mr. Tim Dowler. He was more than just a member of our staff—he was a guiding light, a source of strength, and a cherished part of our community.
For 37 years, Mr. Dowler has poured heart, soul, and endless energy into the Greene County Tech School District. Always the hardest worker in the room-showing up early, staying late, and doing whatever it takes to support our school.
His loyalty, example, and love for people around him has left a legacy that words can’t fully capture. Mr. Dowler is a true Golden Eagle and will be greatly missed.

A big shoutout to our GCT Chartwell Lunch Heroes and the incredible leadership of Ms. Kristin Gazaway and Ms. Jennifer Ring! They brighten the day of every student at Greene County Tech with a smile while serving breakfast and lunch. We're truly blessed to have them!
Hospital Wing brought a chopper out for the GCT Elementary Safety Team. The students were able to see the chopper and hear from the pilot and medic about their jobs!

The 2:00 performance at GCT High School is canceled. We will monitor the weather and announce around 4:00 if the 6:00 performance will be canceled as well.
ATTN: The threat of severe weather is predicted to arrive during our normal dismissal schedule. Out of an abundance of caution, GCTSD will dismiss early today using the following schedule:
PreK carline will start at 1:20.
Kindergarten carline will start at 1:45.
All other carlines will start at 2:00.
Buses will run 1 hour early.
Aftercare and all after school activities are canceled.
