Greene County Tech Middle School

GCT Patrons: We will be out of school for a flex day on Monday, April 8th, 2024. On this day, Greene County will be in the path of totality for the solar eclipse. All GCT campuses will be closed due to this event. Each GCT student has received a pair of solar eclipse glasses along with safety tips for viewing. Please be safe and we will see everyone back on Tuesday. As a reminder, the next scheduled flex day for GCT will be on Monday, April 15th, 2024.

Reminder: Tonight, Thursday, 3/14/24, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, we will have a school dance for our 6th-grade students. Drop-offs will be around the back of the school just like the afternoon carline. Students must have pre-purchased tickets to get into the dance. They can be purchased until 3:00 pm today. Drop-offs will start at 4:50 pm. Pick-ups will be in front of the Middle School. Parents will need to enter on the east side of the main campus between the Jr. High and Bus Garage. See the attached photo for PICK UP traffic pattern. For safety reasons, do not park in the Middle School parking lot to get your student(s). Stay in a single row in front of the Middle School. Please pull up to the administrator in front of the school to pick up your student(s).

Mr. Smith's class made their own volcanoes and watched them erupt as part of their lesson on chemical reactions.

We are changing the times for 6th Grade dance for March 14th to 5-7:00 p.m. There are storms forecasted for Thursday and we want our students to be able to have a fun dance but get home safely too.

Thank you to GCT and our community for coming to the games last night and donating to Make-A-Wish. Our district goal is to raise enough money to grant a wish ($8500). Last night we were able to raise a little over $3000. Thanks to you, we are well on our way to meet our goal. #staygoldeneagles #gotech #gctmaw
