The annual Greene County Fair Livestock Banquet was held on Saturday. Greene County Tech had a great showing with many exhibitors receiving buckles and three students were awarded scholarships.

Mrs. Mellow’s 1sr Grade Class
Our class using a movement activity after learning the vocabulary word “balance.” They listened to the story “The Maid and the Milk Pail” (she balanced a milk pail on her head).

We went outside and used sidewalk chalk after learning the Nursery Rhymes: Star Light, Star Bright and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We love learning at GCT Primary!

Mrs. Stalling’s 1st Grade Class
We did an activity to find out partners for the day!


Mrs. Kertsen’s Kindergarten Class-
We are working with compound words by playing a game like “Duck, Duck, Goose.” Students say 2 words & then put the word together when they tap on the next child that’s “it.”





Mrs. Hurt’s class practiced jumping while saying the sound /j/, and retelling the fable “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”.

We learned about “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” today. Kids listened to the story, discussed key words from the story, and then acted it out!





Family Fun Wellness Event

Mrs. Lisa Brown's Kindergarten class recently read the Nursery Rhyme “ Jack Be Nimble”. The kids then practiced jumping over a candlestick.

The Educational Foundation of Greene County Tech is excited to announce that Ohana Hawaiian Snow will be selling shaved ice on Friday September 9th during the football game from 6-9 pm. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation.
