GCTSD is proud to recognize Mrs. Amanda Finch, Primary Principal, as our Administrator of the Year!
From keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes to being the go-to person for just about everything, Mrs. Finch has gone above and beyond in every way. Whether it’s organizing, problem-solving, or simply brightening the day with a smile, she does it all with grace and excellence.
Thank you, Mrs. Finch, for all that you do. You truly are amazing and we are so lucky to have you!
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Mr. Tim Dowler. He was more than just a member of our staff—he was a guiding light, a source of strength, and a cherished part of our community.
For 37 years, Mr. Dowler has poured heart, soul, and endless energy into the Greene County Tech School District. Always the hardest worker in the room-showing up early, staying late, and doing whatever it takes to support our school.
His loyalty, example, and love for people around him has left a legacy that words can’t fully capture. Mr. Dowler is a true Golden Eagle and will be greatly missed.

A big shoutout to our GCT Chartwell Lunch Heroes and the incredible leadership of Ms. Kristin Gazaway and Ms. Jennifer Ring! They brighten the day of every student at Greene County Tech with a smile while serving breakfast and lunch. We're truly blessed to have them!
Hospital Wing brought a chopper out for the GCT Elementary Safety Team. The students were able to see the chopper and hear from the pilot and medic about their jobs!

The High School performance at 6:00 tonight will go on as scheduled.

The 2:00 performance at GCT High School is canceled. We will monitor the weather and announce around 4:00 if the 6:00 performance will be canceled as well.
ATTN: The threat of severe weather is predicted to arrive during our normal dismissal schedule. Out of an abundance of caution, GCTSD will dismiss early today using the following schedule:
PreK carline will start at 1:20.
Kindergarten carline will start at 1:45.
All other carlines will start at 2:00.
Buses will run 1 hour early.
Aftercare and all after school activities are canceled.
We apologize for the late notice, but as always, safety is our top priority.
Aftercare will be canceled this afternoon due to the predicted timing of the severe weather.
There will be a special called board meeting on Monday April 7 at 5:30 PM
