The Greene County Health Department is hosting a Back to School Vaccine Clinic on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 9:30am to 6:00pm.

GCT is having an Eagle Cheer Camp for all interested incoming Kindergarten - 5th grade students.
The camp will be July 15-17 from 9:00am to 12:00pm each day.
The cost is $75.

On Thursday, students who demonstrated growth on this year’s STAR Math and STAR Literacy assessments were rewarded with a well-deserved ice cream celebration!

Today, we proudly celebrated two groups of teachers who were awarded grants from the Educational Foundation of the GCT School District!
Our second grade team received a grant of $1,419, and our dedicated Special Education teachers were awarded $2,000.
Congratulations to both groups on this well-deserved recognition! Your commitment continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students.

January 27 is a day the Floyd family will always remember. On that day, Maddox Floyd was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer. Since then, Maddox has been receiving exceptional care at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—a place his mother describes with deep gratitude.
In support of Maddox and the incredible work done by St. Jude, our school hosted a silent auction fundraiser during our most recent Parent Night. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised an impressive $943.00.
We are immensely proud of the strength and resilience Maddox continues to show. Today, we had the honor of presenting a check for $943.00 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, given in Maddox’s name.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Mr. Tim Dowler. He was more than just a member of our staff—he was a guiding light, a source of strength, and a cherished part of our community.
For 37 years, Mr. Dowler has poured heart, soul, and endless energy into the Greene County Tech School District. Always the hardest worker in the room-showing up early, staying late, and doing whatever it takes to support our school.
His loyalty, example, and love for people around him has left a legacy that words can’t fully capture. Mr. Dowler is a true Golden Eagle and will be greatly missed.
