GCT Intermediate would like to thank Sgt. Rankin, SSG Pickney, and SSG Littlefield from the Arkansas National Guard Walnut Ridge Unit for coming to teach our 2022-23 Flag Bearers how to properly raise, lower, and fold an American flag. Our flag bearers this year are Addilynn Owen, Camrin Echols, and Elijah Sherman. Thank you for your service. It’s a great day to be a Golden Eagle and American.

Girls golf conference champs, Liza McIlvoy- overall winner. Liza and Addy Davis all conference.

Ms. Shelly Templeton, 5th grade literacy/social studies teacher, is the Spotlight Teacher for GCT Intermediate! Ms. Templeton has taught for 23 years. She says she wanted to become a teacher to help children learn to read. Her dream vacation is to Rome and her favorite food is anything pasta. Ms. Templeton says her favorite thing to teach is reading comprehension skills and her favorite thing to do in her spare time is to sit and read a book. Ms. Templeton's biggest influence was her 7th grade teacher who took the time to teach her to read. If Ms. Templeton wasn't a teacher, she says she would love to have a job working with animals.
GCT Intermediate is blessed to have Ms. Templeton as a faculty member!

Big thanks to Donna Mooney and Target for the awesome school supplies donated to our district!!
