The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Flu forms will be handed out to first period students on Friday, Oct. 10th. Faculty and staff forms will be in their mailboxes. Forms are due back in the office by 8:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd. The flu clinic will be held on Oct. 29th in the Community Room beginning at 12:30 pm.
Fields of Faith is next Wednesday, October 15th at the GCT Football Field. Tail gating starts at 5pm on the hill above the field with free food. The rally is also free and starts at 6:30pm. It should be over by around 8pm. Everyone is invited!
Students, The ACT Bootcamp will be Tuesday, October 14 in the Community Room. Complete the form below to sign up. Only complete the form if you would like to attend Bootcamp. Bring non-perishable food items to our booth in the Grand Hall before school and receive a special treat! All items will benefit the Little Pantry or the Backpack Program.
The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Other than candy, please consider donating pencils, stickers, silly jewelry like spider rings or glow in the dark things, anything that a kid might enjoy. The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Other than candy, please consider donating pencils, stickers, silly jewelry like spider rings or glow in the dark things, anything that a kid might enjoy. There will be two teams. The first is a varsity team, which consists of 11th and 12th graders. The second is a junior varsity team, which consists of 9th and 10th graders. There will be a $10 fee to cover the cost of the t-shirt. I have attached a Google Form for those that are interested to fill out and submit. These forms need to be submitted no later than Friday, October 10th.

We will make an all call at the beginning of 1st period for the first group to come to the Arena. After all other class periods, students will report straight to the Arena for their club photos. ➢ Reminder! NHS will have its monthly meeting on Monday, October 6th at 7:15 in the Community Room. All members are encouraged to attend.
➢ Any student wanting to take the ASVAB test on October 28th can sign up in the Counselor's office or ROTC room.
➢ October 29th will be a make-up photo day for students(10th and 11th) and staff!
➢ Troupe 7614 of the International Thespian Society will be hosting Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat every Thursday and Friday in October! Bring non-perishable food items to our booth in the Grand Hall before school and receive a special treat! All items will benefit the Little Pantry or the Backpack Program.
➢ The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Other than candy, please consider donating pencils, stickers, silly jewelry like spider rings or glow in the dark things, anything that a kid might enjoy. Please drop off your items to Mr. Blake or Mrs. Niki at any time.
➢ There will be a Tech vs Paragould Powder Buff game. This will be a volleyball game played by the males in grades 9th-12th. This will take place at Tech on Monday, November 3rd. There will be two teams. The first is a varsity team, which consists of 11th and 12th graders. The second is a junior varsity team, which consists of 9th and 10th graders. There will be a $10 fee to cover the
cost of the t-shirt.
➢ If you are a student-athlete and want to get your athlete pass to get into games free, make sure that you create a GoFan account with your gctschools.net email. You can not get your free pass without creating an account using the gctschools.net email address.
If you are not an athlete and want to purchase a student pass to save money on games, you need to use your 5 digit student ID to purchase a pass at GoFan.
➢ Students, You have 48 hours to turn in your parent note, Dr. note. etc. After 48 hours, the absence will be unexcused. It is your responsibility to check to make sure your Dr. office faxed us your note. You can check your attendance in HAC.
SENIOR INFORMATION
➢ Seniors must sign-in when returning to school for a club meeting.
➢ Seniors, there is a form on the Senior Google Classroom where you can make suggestions for the senior class flower, color, motto, and song. If you have suggestions, please complete the form by October 10.
Also in the Senior Google Classroom you will find forms to complete for your Senior Memories and Pass the Torch for the yearbook. These are both due October 15.

Mrs. Brightwell and Mrs. Jackson had a fun lesson in Biology recently. They created animal and plant cell models made of candy. Learn some science, eat some candy, sounds like a great day. Thank you for making learning fun and delicious at GCT.
