Flu forms will be handed out to first period students on Friday, Oct. 10th. Faculty and staff forms will be in their mailboxes. Forms are due back in the office by 8:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd. The flu clinic will be held on Oct. 29th in the Community Room beginning at 12:30 pm.
Fields of Faith is next Wednesday, October 15th at the GCT Football Field. Tail gating starts at 5pm on the hill above the field with free food. The rally is also free and starts at 6:30pm. It should be over by around 8pm. Everyone is invited!

The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Other than candy, please consider donating pencils, stickers, silly jewelry like spider rings or glow in the dark things, anything that a kid might enjoy. Please drop off your items to Mr. Blake or Mrs. Niki at any time.

The Pay it Forward Club will be collecting bags of candy as well as any other Halloween themed party favors for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event sponsored by JROTC. This event will take place on Oct. 31st so we will be collecting these items through mid-October. Other than candy, please consider donating pencils, stickers, silly jewelry like spider rings or glow in the dark things, anything that a kid might enjoy. Please drop off your items to Mr. Blake or Mrs. Niki at any time.

There will be two teams. The first is a varsity team, which consists of 11th and 12th graders. The second is a junior varsity team, which consists of 9th and 10th graders. There will be a $10 fee to cover the cost of the t-shirt. I have attached a Google Form for those that are interested to fill out and submit. We will make an all call at the beginning of 1st period for the first group to come to the Arena. After all other class periods, students will report straight to the Arena for their club photos. Mrs. Brightwell and Mrs. Jackson had a fun lesson in Biology recently. They created animal and plant cell models made of candy. Learn some science, eat some candy, sounds like a great day. Thank you for making learning fun and delicious at GCT.
Our students had a great lesson in life with the help of Teresa Branch from Workforce Development. Our students played "The Game of Life" and got a small dose of what adulthood is like: Earning a salary, paying taxes, selecting housing, paying child care, making food and clothing choices, car payments, etc. Thank you Mrs. Branch and all of the Chamber members for the effort you made to create a fun learning experience for our students.

If you are a student-athlete and want to get your athlete pass to get into games free, make sure that you create a GoFan account with your gctschools.net email. You can not get your free pass without creating an account using the gctschools.net email address.
If you are not an athlete and want to purchase a student pass to save money on games, you need to use your 5 digit student ID to purchase a pass at GoFan.
Students, You have 48 hours to turn in your parent note, Dr. note. etc. After 48 hours, the absence will be unexcused.
SENIOR INFORMATION
Seniors must sign-in when returning to school for a club meeting.
Seniors, there is a form on the Senior Google Classroom where you can make suggestions for the senior class flower, color, motto, and song. If you have suggestions, please complete the form by October 10.
Also in the Senior Google Classroom you will find forms to complete for your Senior Memories and Pass the Torch for the yearbook. These are both due October 15.
