Ms. Lange's 7th grade English classes recently celebrated reading over 1,000 books this school year. They also published "The Page Turner," a literary journal collection of their best writings across multiple genres. Jaxon Heath and Trinity Hyde did the art for the covers. This morning, GCT Middle School students participated in a send-off for students attending Arkansas State Special Olympics at Harding University in Searcy.

GCT Middle School awards assemblies will be on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Multi-Purpose Gym. The 6th grade assembly will be at 8:30am and the 7th grade assembly will be at 10:00am.
You may check your child out at the awards assembly if you wish.
We will have our current yearbook and previous year's yearbooks for sale as well.
Attached are the lists of students that will receive at least one award or recognition during their assembly.
GCT Middle School would like to thank one of our Partners in Education, First National Bank, for their $1,500 donation. These funds will be used to purchase 34 emergency backpacks and supplies for our school.

Today, members of the Educational Foundation of GCT, awarded 7th grade teacher, Jessica Lange with a $500.00 classroom grant.

This morning, GCT Middle School students participated in a State Competition send-off for: Baseball, Softball, Girl's Soccer and Boy's Soccer teams.

During ACT Aspire testing, students could earn chances to win prizes by being on time and working hard. Congratulations to all of our students that won prizes! We gave away almost 200 prizes! Pictured are some of these prize winners.
Due to rain chances on Friday, we have rescheduled our Field Day to tomorrow, May 4th. Students should dress appropriately for outdoor activities and may wear hats if they wish.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase concessions in the morning and afternoon. Sodas, hot dogs, pickles and candy will be $1.50 each. Pickle Pops and frozen pops will be $0.50 each.
Thank you Charlie Brown for working with Opaa! to provide grilled burgers for all students and steaks for the senior class! We appreciate your time and effort to do this for our stduents at GCT!
GCT Middle School would like to thank Axis, one of our partners in education. This week, they provided us with 20 VIP movie passes to give away as prizes. They also bought multiple large bags of movie popcorn for us to give away as a testing snack. They helped give out popcorn and water to 6th graders today and will come back Wednesday to do the same for 7th graders. Thank you!
