GCTSD will resume normal bus routes this afternoon, Wednesday, January 15, 2025. All students will be dropped off at their normal bus stops. Thank you for your patience as we navigated last week's snow event!

GCTSD will run modified bus routes in the morning, Wednesday, January 15, 2025. We will re-evaluate those routes tomorrow. Please monitor our social media pages for further information.

GCTSD will continue to run modified bus routes this afternoon, Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Note: we have taken bus 14 and bus 192 off of this list. Those buses will run their normal routes. We will put out information about Wednesday, January 15, 2025, later today.

GCTSD will run modified bus routes in the morning, Tuesday, January 14, 2025. We will re-evaluate the modified bus routes tomorrow to make a determination about the afternoon. Please continue to monitor our social media pages for updates.

GCTSD will use modified bus routes this afternoon. Please see attached information and note the time to pick up your student at the designated stop if your student is on a modified bus route. We will put out more information about the bus routes for tomorrow morning soon.

GCTSD will be in session Monday, January 13th, with modified morning bus routes. Please see attachment. We will evaluate these routes tomorrow to determine if the afternoon bus routes will also be modified and send out that communication as soon as we make a determination. Be on the lookout in the morning for icy patches from potential refreezing.

GCTSD will be closed Friday, January 10th, due to inclement weather conditions. This day is built into the calendar and will not need to be made up. Be safe and enjoy the snow.

GCT School Board was proud to present our senior band members with a certificate of achievement for their monumental state championship marching season. Go Eagles!!!

GCT Patrons, Last spring, Arkansas students in grades 3-10 took a new state test called ATLAS. This new test is now aligned to the current Arkansas grade level standards. The results are available from the state and accessible to parents via the ATLAS Students and Families Portal. https://atlasportal.org/families.html For the current school year, students in grades K-3 have taken screener tests. These results are NOT yet available from the state, but will be accessible to parents very soon via the ATLAS Students and Families Portal. https://atlasportal.org/families.html When you access the portal, you will use your child's 6-digit access code to obtain information on your child's test data. This code was sent home today with your child and will also be available at parent/teacher conferences. If you are unable to attend parent/teacher conferences, your child's report card and access code will be sent home next Tuesday, October 22nd. Attached is the performance level descriptors for grades 3-10 and the K-3 screener descriptors. Earlier this week, we kicked off our inaugural Kindergarten Walk to High School event, and it was a fantastic success! Our high school students had the chance to sign shirts for the kindergartners, fostering a meaningful connection between the ages. We’re proud to call this event “Passing Down Eagle Pride.” It was heartwarming to see our Golden Eagles come together, creating lasting memories and impacts. GCT Patrons: We had a middle school student make some concerning statements and gestures in class today. At no point was anyone in harm's way. We are following our investigative protocol. This was a push notification and a Facebook post. If you did not get the push, please make sure your app is up to date.

GCT Patrons, This morning we had two reports I wanted to make you aware of: 1. We had a report of gunshots near the Primary school. We notified our SRO. He swiftly investigated and quickly reported that someone was shooting squirrels. All is clear 2. We had a JH student show us a screenshot of a generic post with language referencing pulling a fire alarm, etc. We notified our SRO and the GCSO investigated. They discovered the origin of the post and determined it was unrelated to our school district. All is clear. We are doing some app maintenance so please keep your techconnect app updated as we will continue to send out test push notifications.
